My house has hardwood and carpet, and it is very hard to find a vacuum cleaner that can easily switch from wood to carpet. On the other hand, this model is perfect for both, but it is not that great on carpets. You can adjust the suction easily on the handle. Emptying the dust bin was a breeze. In general, I am very pleased with my purchase. Another great product from Dirt Devil!

I really love this cleaner. I have hardwood and tile floors, and it is hard to obtain a cleaner that does the job efficiently. I had an old Dirt Devil vacuum, but it finally got broken after four years. This brand new model is better. Love the attachments, and the retractable chord. You will not find anything better than this vacuum cleaner for cleaning tile and hardwood floors. The attachments for carpet cleaning is satisfactory, but they are hard to employ on high pile. The suction power is beyong satisfaction, and the noise is negligible. You should take note that this is not a perfect model for carpets. In general, I love this vacuum and I could not be happier.
